Every LightForce Custom Metal Brace we place is designed and 3D-printed specifically for your teeth, combining the strength and familiar look of metal braces with a level of customization traditional brackets simply can’t match.
LightForce Custom Metal Braces belong to a new category of orthodontic care LightForce calls “generative braces”, where your treatment plan comes first, and every bracket is generated to match it. Instead of choosing from a limited set of pre-made metal brackets, Dr. Koh’s digital plan for your smile is used to design and 3D-print a bracket base shaped to the true contours of each tooth.
Metal braces remain the most popular choice among teen patients nationwide, and LightForce reports that the large majority of teens who choose fixed braces still choose metal. Custom Metal Braces let teens keep the classic look their friends are familiar with, paired with a precision fit designed to help keep treatment on track. LightForce Custom Metal Braces are generated directly from your digital treatment plan, so the base of every bracket is shaped to fit the exact contours of that specific tooth, and details like bracket position, tie wings, and hooks are personalized rather than standardized.
