About Dr. Wuiteng Koh

Since setting up his orthodontic practice in Northgate in 1993, Dr. Wuiteng ‘Teng’ Koh has devoted his career to creating lasting, beautiful smiles for his patients. What brings him fulfillment is the privilege of witnessing the positive impact that orthodontics has on his patients’ lives, particularly in boosting their health and self-confidence. Equally rewarding for him is working with an extraordinarily talented team that shares his enthusiasm for providing top-tier care to the best patients in the area, and collaborating with respected local dentists and dental specialists.

What makes Dr. Koh stand out in the North Seattle community is his experience, underscored by his status as a top-tier Invisalign provider. This distinction exemplifies not just his commitment to the field but his mastery of cutting-edge orthodontic solutions that offer patients enhanced aesthetics and convenience without compromising results.

Dr. Koh’s academic journey is as impressive as his passion for orthodontics. His undergraduate studies in Chemistry were undertaken at La Sierra University in Riverside, California. At just 19 years old, he was accepted into Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he was the youngest in his class! After dental school, he took on roles as a clinical instructor in both the Departments of Pediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry while simultaneously practicing as a general dentist. The positive impact of orthodontics on his patients intrigued him, leading him to complete a graduate orthodontic program at Loma Linda University, where he graduated with highest honors in 1991. Two additional years of working with esteemed orthodontic faculty members further deepened his knowledge and expertise in the field.

Dr. Koh’s pursuit of learning continues today. He actively maintains memberships with several esteemed organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), Washington State Society of Orthodontists (WSSO), American Dental Association (ADA), Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society (OKU), and the Puget Sound Orthodontic Study Club.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Koh is deeply rooted in the Seattle community. Originally from Singapore, Dr. Koh and his family have made Seattle their home. Outside of his practice, you might find him delving into his interests in travel, photography, reading, and Scrabble. An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Koh especially enjoys volleyball, tennis and soccer, and has fond memories of coaching middle school volleyball and soccer teams.

Whether you are meeting Dr. Koh for the first time or returning for a follow-up, he looks forward to providing you with exceptional orthodontic care in a warm and welcoming environment.

“Dr. Koh is fabulous. He has such a calm and gentle spirit – he makes it enjoyable and almost relaxing to go to the orthodontist. I appreciate that he goes over different options with us, and then gives pros and cons of these choices. He is incredibly patient and  always willing to answer my 100 questions. I will definitely be taking my younger kid here when it is time for her to get braces!”
